‘No more bloodshed in 2017″, hopes GESS team leader

Girls’ Education South Sudan Team Leader hopes that 2017 will be better and a year of peace to South Sudanese.
 
Akuja De Garang wishes that the suffering, bloodshed and hatred among the people will stop.
 
She encourages girls to be focused in their education.
 
De Garang says there will be a review on the cash transfers this year, depending on the economic situation.
 
GESS program is a UK initiative to support girls’ education in the young nation.
 
De Garang, has been appointed as a member of the order of the British Empire, by the Queen of England, following her achievements in South Sudan.
 
She says the appointment is encouraging to her and the people of South Sudan.
 
De Garang believes any South Sudanese can win the same honor through good work.
