A grieved family in Yei has held prayers for one of its missing members Mario Lasuba, who disappeared few days to Christmas.
Lasuba was heading through the rural road to celebrate Christmas and New Year in Uganda, Radio Easter reports.
Family members said they have been looking for their missing member after relatives in Uganda confirmed that he did not reach them.
The following day, phone calls from unknown people said his brother had fallen into an ambush, the family members said.
The brother said he is ‘sorry for the disappearance’ of his brother, who left a big responsibility to him to look after his children and other orphans.
Relatives did not find the missing member after carrying out several searches in the rural road, his brother said.
Fr Tom Poru Martin of Christ the King Cathedral consoled the family members to remain courageous in faith.
An area member of parliament, Jacob Aligo Lo-Lado, urged communities and chiefs to immediately report incidences including missing members to authorities for action.
The missing member has been working for St Bakhita Health Centre for years before leaving for Uganda to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.
