Government accepted Bishop’s request to meet armed opposition to know their grievances, says Spokesperson.

Michael Makuei Lueth says anyone working for peace cannot be prevented to meet the opposition.

However, he says anybody who is working for peace does not need permission.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe on Wednesday requested the government to provide permission letter to churches to meet the opposition to hear their grievances.

He said that the letter would avoid any disturbance at the checkpoints.

The spokesperson was speaking to journalists in Juba after the council of Ministers meeting.
