A sixteen-year-old boy raped an eleven-year old girl in Tura Village of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
According to Radio Voice of Peace, the little girl said she was sleeping when suddenly someone held her mouth and raped her on Tuesday.
The mother reported the case to the nearby police station and the boy was arrested.
The girl is undergoing treatment at Mother of Mercy Mission Hospital.
Nurse in the Hospital, Stephen Yousif, says many similar cases were brought to the Hospital.
He advised parents to continue reporting such incidents to avoid old people infecting children with killer diseases.
Yousif calls on community members to care for their children and not to leave them at home alone.
Radio Voice of Peace could not contact Kumbur Payam police authority for comment.
