A Priest at Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church is appealing to the faithful to pray for peace in South Kordofan and the whole world at large.
Father Francis Angela acknowledges the role of the church in peace initiatives .Radio Voice of Peace reports.
He says God has given people another chance to reach this New Year, urging everybody to use it well.
Fr Francis calls on Christians to pray for other areas which are experiencing conflicts for God to grant them peace this Year.
He says Pope Francis has chosen the first of 2017 as the world day of peace.
