The Minister of Education has on Tuesday announced the postponement of South Sudan Secondary Certificate Examinations to March 6th.

Deng Deng Yai says they are not able to conduct the examinations as scheduled, due to circumstances beyond their control.

Delay in the transfer of money from the Ministry of Finance to the National Examination Council’s account, is one of the reasons that forced the council to reschedule the examinations, he says.

Minister Deng adds that insecurity in some parts of the country has reduced the number of students to do their examinations.

He says the South Sudan Secondary Certificate Examinations will start on March 6th and end on 24th.
