The community of Makuac Boma of Wanhalel County in Tonj State complains of shortage of water in their residential area.
Angok Dut, a community representative says the area lacks boreholes, reports.
He adds that the people are staying far from Tonj River, making it difficult for them to get drinking water.
Angok requests the government, nongovernmental organizations and well wishers to rescue them from their situation.
The only installed borehole is not functional, he regrets.
The community representative says they survive on too deep wells which do not provide enough water.
He expresses readiness to work hand in hand with any well-wisher who can help them.
Angok cautions the community to stop burning grass.
Makuac Boma is about five hours walk from Tonj town.
