Pope Francis is encouraging people and leaders of South Sudan to promote nonviolence, says Apostolic Nuncio to the young country.
Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo urges leaders to increase security, end the fighting and work for the development of South Sudan.
The Papal representative advises South Sudan political leaders to implement the agreement they signed in August 2015 for the sake of ordinary people.
He calls on the warring parties to resolve their differences through dialogue to relieve innocent civilians from the suffering they undergo.
The Apostolic Nuncio was talking to Radio Anisa in Yambio.
