The Director of Administration and Finance in the Ministry of Finance was suspended over fight with the Controller of Account in the same ministry.
Director-General Machot Kur told Radio Don Bosco on Wednesday that the incident took place last Thursday and administrative measures were taken the following day.
He added that the suspended officer Kuol Kuol summoned the Controller of Account to his office and told him to allow the payment of expenses incurred in the Ministry.
The Director-General says Kuol attacked his junior while he was drinking water after they failed to agree.
Kur says the controller of account explained clearly to him the instructions directed to him that resulted to the fight.
The Director-General described the fight as a sort of misunderstanding and lack of experience.
Kur termed the fight as an ‘unethical’, upsetting and has tarnished the image of the Ministry.
The official said the disciplinary committee will be formed to look into the case and the outcome will determine the fate of the brawler.
