Students of the University of Juba appreciate President Salva Kiir’s cancellation of increased tuition fees.

They were largely dissatisfied in September after the university’s administration increased the fees, Radio Bakhita reports.

The students say the cancellation will help them to complete their studies.

Abuba Evelyn Peter says president Kiir’s decision to cancel the fees increment came after lobbying from her administration.

Evelyn says Juba University Students’ Union or JUSU will work with the administration to discuss about learners who have already paid the increased fees.

She advises students to work with the new directive issued by the national Council of Higher Education.

President Salva Kiir on Wednesday cancelled increment of the tuition fees of public universities.
