The Commissioner of Yei River County is calling on the displaced persons in the state to return to their respective areas.
Denis Lasuba says calm has returned to town so residents need to clean their homes to avoid being burnt down by wildfire, Radio Easter reports.
He made a tour on roads linking Yei town to Maridi, Juba, Lasu and Kaya checkpoints in order to access the situations.
Commissioner Lasuba says he saw that people are doing their normal activities in rural areas like harvesting food and taking it to Yei town.
The commissioner adds that the purpose of sending the national security organs to Yei is to ensure achieving peace.
He says the government is also committed to achieve peace and to re-open all roads to allow citizens travel freely in the state.
The commissioner was speaking at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
