The prevalence of HIV/AIDS cases are increasing in Western Lakes State due to ignorance and unprotected sex, says Rumbek State Hospital Medical Director.
Dr Barnaba Bol Amukpiu told Radio Good News that there is high rate of HIV/AIDS infection in the state.
The doctor says patients who come with chronic diseases such as diarrhea, TB and pneumonia are usually found with the virus.
Around five patients are found every day infected by HIV, he adds.
Dr Bol says the rate of infection is very high among young people in the state.
The drugs are available and hospital offer free treatment to HIV patients, he says.
