The Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan urges church leaders to work for change and peace.

Archbishop Daniel Deng Bull says the church should play a leading role in realizing true change for peace, Radio Anisa reports.

He was speaking during the official opening of two-day workshop about peace on Thursday.

Archbishop Deng says some leaders may not be wise to realize their power.

He urges leaders to discover their potentials.

Change must start within an individual before it expands to the masses, Archbishop Deng observes.

Meanwhile, Nzara Episcopal Diocese, Bishop Samuel Enosa Peni says local church leaders should share their opinions on peace with the visiting Archbishop.

90 participants from six dioceses of the Episcopal Church Western Equatoria Internal Province are attending the peace workshop.

The peace workshop is expected to conclude on Sunday with the enthronement of Right Reverend Peter Munde Yacob as the Archbishop of the newly created Internal Church Province of Western Equatoria.
