Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe says the ongoing crisis is a test of faith and that all should remain strong in their faith, Radio Easter reports.
With prayers all the sufferings will end, he adds.
The Catholic prelate also urges the faithful not to run away from the state, but remain strong so that peace prevails.
The Bishop made the remarks during the celebration of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Thursday at Christ the King Cathedral.
