The Humanitarian Coordinator for South Sudan is deeply concerned by series of barriers that have negatively affected organizations to assist people in need.
In a statement on Wednesday, Eugene Owusu, said the organizations continue to face obstacles which hamper their efforts.
He said in November aid workers were denied access to areas outside Yei and Wau towns where thousands of people are in need of assistance and protection.
The Coordinator urged the government to translate its commitments to improve aid workers’ operating environment.
He called on all parties to allow free, safe and unhindered humanitarian access so that organizations can reach and assist conflict affected people.
Owusu said they recorded some 91 humanitarian access incidents from November 1 to 28.
He said humanitarian needs in South Sudan continue to rise as a result of conflict and economic decline.
