The new President of Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC on Tuesday visited SPLM Secretariat to acquaint himself with the party officials for cooperation.

Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro tells SPLM Information Secretary, Bol Makueng Yuol that the church does not work in isolation.

Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban, who accompanied Bishop Hiiboro, graces the visit with a prayer of healing.

Makueng says South Sudan is a product of the church.

He says what seems to divide South Sudan now is difference in ideologies and lack of political will to compromise.

The visit aims at establishing better working relations between the church and the ruling party.
