Across; an organization operating in four Payams of Rumbek East County has organized one-day conference on Girls’ Education Challenge, GEC Pilot Project.
Lucia Acheng, GEC Manager says the conference enables school mothers to share experiences, successes and challenges to meet their roles in pursuing girls’ education, Radio Good News reports.
The project aims at transforming cultural mindset of the community to favouring girl-child education, the official says.
The Project Manager urges school mothers to continue applying the knowledge acquired to support girls in school.
Girls’ Education Challenge, GEC was formed by Across in 2014 to address challenges facing girls in school.
Over 40 mothers participated in the conference.
