The Intergovernmental Authority on Development or IGAD has trained South Sudanese officials on improvement of environmental effects on climate change.
The training is also on agriculture and livelihood.
Timothy Thuol Onak, Director- General of Forest Service says the workshop aims at monitoring climate change, Radio Bakhita reports.
Muyambi Fortunate Benda, Forest Monitoring expert challenges the Government of South Sudan to engage local communities in restoring degraded areas.
The workshop was attended by officials from the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment and Wildlife Conservation.
