Wau airport authorities on Wednesday stopped their planned strike schedule for Thursday after working for four months without incentives.
Airport Director Deng Deng said they are waiting until the state government gives them feedback, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Wau Mayor Mel Aleu Goch appreciated the airport authorities for considering the state government’s request to study the matter.
Inquiries shall be made as soon as possible to ensure that right of the staff is restored, he adds.
It is not clear why Wau airport staff incentives have not been paid for months.
Radio Voice of Hope could not immediately reach authorities of the national Ministry of Transport for comment.
