Citizens in Rumbek on Wednesday during Morning Breakfast show call on the state government to ban idle gathering under trees during working hours.

James Dhieu Thon, a resident in Makuric Rumbek town, said idleness affected work in government institutions as some people leave their offices and go to play cards and dominos, Radio Good News reports.

He calls on the state authorities to put laws that will not allow any employee to leave work place for social gathering during working time.

Elizabeth Agum Mapuor, a caller from Akuach, adds that social gathering during working hours promote gossips and rumours in the society.

She denounces sitting in groups, clans and tribes to discuss things that spoil peace implementation progress in the country.

Many citizens remain jobless and mostly spend their time under trees and tea places to play dominos and cards for more than eight hours.
