The Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism advocates for resources to protect undomesticated animals countrywide.

The lobby came while the ministry was launching a campaign to educate South Sudanese about wildlife conservation, Radio Bakhita reports.

The ministry has started sending out short text messages to all mobile subscribers in South Sudan informing citizens of the need to protect wildlife and their environment.

Wildlife resource is a national heritage that should be protected and managed for the current and future generations, says Khamis Adieng Ding, Spokesman of the Ministry.

He adds that conservation is a collective responsibility that demands the participation of citizens and government.

The campaign involves use of text messages, radio talk shows and public discussions in schools and religious institutions.
