The National Ministry of Education on Tuesday launched South Sudan Schools Attendance Monitoring System.
Minister Deng Deng Hoc says the System will be used for monitoring the attendants of teachers and learners in all schools of the country.
He describes attendance of learners at school as important and compulsory.
When a pupil fails to go to school, the parent will be followed up for the child’s absence, Deng says.
The Minister notes that the school enrolment in 2016 is the highest compared to other years.
He expresses gratitude to the government and the people of the United Kingdom for supporting girls.
Michael Lagu, GESS Support Team, reports that over one million pupils have been enrolled in 2016.
He says headmasters will report the attendants of teachers every day.
