The Governor of Yei River State says he is happy with the three bishops and other church leaders disseminating the word of God to retain citizens in Yei.

David Lokonga Moses appreciates the church leaders for reporting to UN officials the insecurity in Yei.

Governor Lokonga asks SPLA soldiers and the armed oppositions to open the four roads of Yei to ease movement of civilians and export of goods to Juba and other towns.

He appeals to everybody to live as one people of South Sudan regardless of their tribal differences.

The Governor ordered the joint operation to arrest those randomly shooting guns in the town or shot dead violators.

The state authorities will not negotiate with anyone who shoots gun deliberately, Lokonga warns.

He expresses readiness to dialogue with the armed youth as the only way to bring lasting peace to the state.

Governor Lokonga was addressing the congregation at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
