The Acting Governor of Tonj State has stopped civilians from taking cases that should be handled by the judiciary to the army.
The move came after the chiefs complained that their job was taken by Mathiang- Anyoor, an SPLA faction, Radio Don Bosco reports.
Manhiem Bol Malek says the work of the army according to the constitution is to defend the nation, lives and property of civilians.
The Acting Governor says the army was brought to the state to crack down criminal activities because organized forces failed.
He recalls that civilians take simple cases to the soldiers because they want their cases to be resolved urgently.
Bol reminds police to be serious with their job without taking bribe from complainers.
The leader states that doing some body’s work is an abuse to national constitution.
Radio Don Bosco could not reach police commissioner to comment on the issue.
