A member of parliament from Twic State says two people died and several wounded when his constituency came under attack on Tuesday.
MP Kuany Mayom Deng told the press at the National Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that the attackers are suspected to have come from Northern Liech State.
He adds that the attack came ahead of the expected visit of the First Vice President Taban Deng Gai to the area on November 28th for a peace conference.
Northern Liech State authorities could not be reached for comments on the attack.
