South Sudan and Uganda have signed joint stop border post agreement in Kampala, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Journalists on Monday in Juba.
Joseph Ayok Anei says both countries agreed to have standard testing equipments to the Bureau of Standards, improve women trade and develop logistics platform to address high cost of transport, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says the agreement will ease the movement of people and goods between Juba and Kampala without delay at the border.
Ayok says South Sudan government agreed to pay Ugandan traders whose businesses were interrupted during July incident in Juba with an amount of 41 million US Dollars.
South Sudan border areas have been experiencing serous insecurity such as ambushes on the vehicles traveling between the two countries.
