Governors of Wau, Tong and Gogrial States agreed to coordinate cattle migration within the three states and bring together pastoralists and farmers’ communities in a meeting this month. Radio Voice of Hope Reports.
The three governors said the dialogue and peace agreements conducted three years ago should continue.
They directed their cabinets to study the policy document and budget for the conference that will take place in Wau.
The conference is expected to discuss the previous points reached in Bussere and Roj on the movement of cattle to Wau and compensation if damage happens on properties.
The three governors expressed their commitment to disarm the civilians in order to achieve peaceful coexistence among communities in the three states.
It is not clear when the conference will be organized in Wau this November.
