Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe consoled families that lost their brothers and sisters during the ongoing fighting in the country to stay strong in faith, Radio Easter reported.
He says those who died innocently during the war will resurrect as Jesus.
Bishop Lodu says conflict is increasing reports of deaths and raises fear.
The Bishop asks Christians to pray and believe in the resurrection of the dead for God to strengthen their faith.
He was preaching at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
