Popular Initiative Committee trains 50 youth on peace and reconciliation

Peace Popular Initiative Committee in collaboration with United Nations Civil Affairs Program in Wau State trained youth on peace and reconciliation in the Municipality.
 
Anthony Fada Ubor, chairperson of the committee says they aim at empowering young people to build peace and facilitate reconciliation among communities in the state, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
The youth people will be messengers of peace in the country after they gained more information on eliminating bad practices among communities, he adds.
 
The chairperson urges the young people to put into practice what they have acquired by giving advices about the importance of peace and reconciliation.
 
Fada calls upon citizens to cooperate with youth in the peace building process to help achieve harmony and stability in the state.
 
Many young people express happiness for what they learned during the training on peace and reconciliation in communities.
 
They call on citizens to desist from tribalism and be patient for peace to prevail in the country soon.
 
The workshop drew together a number of politicians, religious leaders and chiefs to the ministry of Education.
