The National Youth Dialogue Platform, an advocacy network, in collaboration with the National Peace Centre held a one-day debate on peace building.

The debate is under the theme: ‘Youth taking positive actions for peace in South Sudan’, Radio Bakhita reports.

One of the organizers, Soro Wilson Sebit, says the debate is to bring young people involved in peace activities in their communities to share experiences and challenges.

He adds that the debate also discussed youth employment.

One of the provisions in the agreement, talks about the establishment of the youth entrepreneurship development fund to help them open private businesses, Wilson points out.

Youth should be creative to employ themselves rather than staying idols to avoid bad practices, advises a student from Catholic University of South Sudan.

The debate said the role of the youth was very effective since the peace agreement has not been implemented.
