Citizens of Wulu County together with pupils gathered on Friday at Muorngeeny Primary School to mark the Global Hand Washing Day under theme: ‘Choose hand washing, choose health’.
Western Lakes States Minister of Education, Mabor Meen Manyicnga urges pupils to take the message of hand washing to their parents, Radio Good News reports.
He says sanitation is important in ensuring good health and improving learning in schools.
The minister emphasizes on having pit latrines as the most important way of preventing flies from contamination.
