Kajo-Keji County has performed better in science than arts subjects in the 2015-2016 South Sudan School Certificate for Secondary Examinations, an official says.
Out of 776 candidates who sat, less than one hundred failed.
Inspector for Secondary Schools, Taban Moses Elijah, told Radio Easter on Friday that the county has recorded 82 percent success in science compared to 67 percent in arts’ subjects.
He says boys performed better than girls.
Moses attributes girls’ low performance to overload of domestic duties.
He observes many girls returning to school due to the funds from Girls Education South Sudan or GESS program.
