Juba denies supporting Sudanese fighters

Government Spokesperson has denied presence and support of Sudanese fighters in South Sudan.
 
Michael Makuei Lueth told journalists on Friday that United States’ government is lobbying for regime change in Juba.
 
The Government Spokesperson says the US Administration should have instead condemned Khartoum for harbouring and supporting Juba fighters.
 
Spokesperson Makuei was responding to The United States of America calls for the Juba Administration to comply with its commitments to cease harbouring or providing support for Sudanese armed opposition groups as required by UN Security Council Resolution 2046 in 2012.
 
US Deputy Department Spokesperson, Mark Toner on Thursday issued a statement that there are credible reports indicating that the Republic of South Sudan is harbouring and providing assistance to armed Sudanese opposition groups.
 
The statement says Sudanese fighters are even involving in South Sudan’s internal conflicts to destabilize both Khartoum and Juba.
