Un Refugee agency or UNHCR identified 1,000 vulnerable internally displaced persons IDPs in its Protection of Civilians site 3 and another 480 at site 1 in Juba.
The agency released a statement after completing an assessment of persons with specific needs in the POC sites.
The assessment enables service providers to offer tailored assistance to the IDPs.
The vulnerable people are mainly elderly at risk, single mothers, widows, lactating mothers and patients with medical complication.
Some 57 Sudanese refugees previously based in Yei and Lasu settlements approached UNHCR in Juba early October, seeking for humanitarian aid and relocation to camps in Unity State.
UNHCR is screening them as a prerequisite to consider relocation.
An increasing number of IDPs from Yei have approached community leaders at Mahad in Juba, enquiring humanitarian assistance.
According to the IDP representatives, nearly 800 families have recently arrived Juba and are staying with relatives and friends in residential areas.
