South Sudanese continue to flee the country with an average of 2,303 people arriving in Uganda each day as of October 16, says UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs or OCHA.
OCHA in its bulletin says the outflow represents a decrease from 2,845 arrivals per day in September, but departures continue particularly from conflict-affected areas.
New arrivals highlight that they have left South Sudan due to the deteriorating security situation and violations against civilians, reports the Office.
They cite incidents of abductions, arrests and looting in different parts of the country.
Many refugees say they travelled long distances to reach safety in Uganda.
The humanitarian situation in Yei remains dire for the estimated 100 thousand people confined in the town.
