Wau State drops by 20 percent in Secondary School Certificate exams’ results

The academic performance of Secondary School Certificate candidates in Wau State dropped by 20 percent compared to previous year results.

 

Rugaya Madut, the State Minister for Education says the performance had dropped drastically in 2015 exams compared to the previous year, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

 

She says the state academic performance in the exams dropped from 77.8 percent in the previous year to 57.8% in 2015 academic year.

 

The minister declares that a total number of 191 candidates sat for the exams with 152 boys passing, making 95 percent.

 

31 girls sat for the exams with 29 passing, making a percentage of 93.6, she says.

 

In total, 181 candidates passed the exams making a percentage of 94.8, Minister Madut declares.

 

The minister made the results’ declaration on Thursday in Wau.
