Government Spokesperson has rubbished wild rumours that President Salva Kiir is dead.

Michael Makuei Lueth threatens to disconnect South Sudan from internet networks should people continue circulating dangerous rumours.

The spokesperson says President Kiir is alive and healthy.

The president works normally in his office, Spokesperson Makuei declares.

Meanwhile, the government has sent condolences to families and relatives of those killed along highways leading to Juba City.

The Spokesperson cautions the bereaved against taking law into their hands by plotting revenge as the government makes efforts to apprehend the assailants.

Makuei calls on the civil population to cooperate with the government by reporting insurgents to avoid house to house search.

The official was speaking in a press conference in Juba on Wednesday morning.
