About 40 armed men in Ayaci County accept to lay down arms

Forty members of the armed forces in Ayaci of County voluntarily accepted to lay down arms in order to restore peace in Imotong State, confirmed Commissioner Onek Benson.
 
He said youth have willingly denounced violence following a joint call for peace in the state by both the community leaders and the Churches, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
Benson thanked church’s effort for pleading to the armed youth to abandon violence.
 
He also appreciated the armed group for their positive response.
 
Benson further said the coming of the armed groups was great and that every community, county and that the state members should welcome others who have not yet decided to return home.
 
Ayaci Commissioner stressed that there is need to support them by giving them basic needs and embrace them so that they live a happy life.
 
Benson encouraged the Church and the government to continue exerting more efforts in sending the messages of peace.
