South Sudanese musicians have to work jointly to fight tribalism that is tearing the country apart, says Uruopap Cultural Group Director.
Stephen Afiro Ochalla on Sunday advised the youth to refrain from politics, cooperate and participate in fighting tribalism.
Afiro said they after July conflict initiated a weekly show call Ashan Beledi, meaning ‘because of my country’ to perform cultural dances and songs to restore peace in South Sudan.
The musician said lack of money is their main challenge that affects their peace initiative.
Uruopap Cultural Group and many other young artists perform every Sunday at Youth Centre in Juba from 5:00PM to 7:00
