The cabinet in its meeting on Friday has issued orders to all the government agencies, especially the security sectors concerned with the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution.

Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr Martin Elias Lomuro says the cabinet directed the concerned authorities to immediately implement without failure and delay.

He says the government Technical team agreed on smooth operation of UNIMISS and humanitarian mandate.

The Minister was speaking to journalists on Friday after the meeting.

The Security Council has last month renewed the mandate of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, or UNMISS until 30 June 2017.

It authorized the expansion of peacekeeping forces and stressing the priority of civilian protection in its mandate.

The Council demanded that all warring parties should immediately put an end to fighting and implement the permanent ceasefire.
