Thony community and karthiith clan insist on resolution of Makuei area

The two communities residing in Makuei area on Wednesday insisted on the resolution of handing over Makuei area to the town council.
 
Makuei area that fell under seven miles of the municipality is claimed by both parties for seven years till now, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
In a meeting held on Tuesday by government officials headed by Tonj state minister Ateek Monydhar Ateek came to a standstill due to disagreement on the place.
 
Mr Ateek says the town council is waiting for a border committee coming from national level to demarcate permanent borders.
 
Minister Monydhar calls upon elders of the two sections to go to his office on Wednesday to get final results.
 
Manyangok community leader Marko Paker Manyual requested that they should be given time to discuss the issue by themselves.
 
Hussein Juma representing Karthiith clan says he has lived in the area for several years and that no one has the right to discriminate his clan from Makuei area.
 
The two communities appeal to the state government to deliver good services, including health centres, schools, water system and youth centre.
