Kurumba Secondary School celebrated on Friday peace day under the theme’ ‘Sustainable development goals building blocks for peace’.
The Secretary of Kurumba Peace Club Latuka Ibrahim said the Association is to promote peace and relations among fellow students and the community of the Nuba Mountains, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He said the club will have weekly dramas on unity and non violence and they will also perform traditional dances, sports and other games.
Young Men Christian Association Director Kocho Shahin told students that peace means respecting each other, teachers, families and the environment.
He urged the club members to fight corruption and tribalism in the school in order to have real peace.
Shahin donated 1000 Sudanese Pounds to the peace club as a sign of promoting peace and unity.
The director encouraged Kurumba peace club to work hard to build peace and strong future leaders.
