It needs collective efforts to teach young people to have knowledge in different fields, says the minister.
He recommends an integrated literacy programs with life skills and long life learning in the new nation, to benefit South Sudanese.
The Minister confirms that over 6,000 students are enrolled in the alternative learning centres.
More than 1000 learners have obtained primary leaving certificate and15 of them are pursuing Bachelor Degree.
The Minister made the remark on Thursday during literacy day celebration, which is commemorated every year on 8 September, but was postponed in Gbudue State.
Hundreds of learners assembled at the State Ministry of Education, Gender and Social Welfare, to celebrate the international literacy day.
The celebration was under the theme: ‘Read the past, write the future’.
