The secretariat for animal health in Kauda, Nuba Mountains complained lack of drugs to fight looming animal diseases in the region.
Mutuwakil Alamin Kaluma said lack of medicines to vaccinate animals is a real challenge following disease outbreaks in various localities of the region, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
Alamin said the secretariat received inadequate drugs which could not reach to all the localities.
The official also said the community members are reluctant to vaccinate cattle because they rare animals for prestige not as sources of revenue.
He advised cattle keepers to take care of their cattle and told them to report sick animals to the nearest veterinary team at the Payam for treatment.
There was an outbreak of cattle disease recently in Nuba Mountains.
