United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO will strengthen correspondents of Radio for Peace Network by training them to report accurately to realize harmony in South Sudan, announces official.
Saluwer Toassa says UNESCO will also support radio stations to provide platforms for inter-communal and cultural dialogues.
The Organization will also help in the dissemination of peace messages through mobile telephones, he adds.
The official announces that they will award the best peace correspondent in a ceremony to be organized later.
UNDP Senior Governance Advisor, Lealem Berhanu Dinku expresses commitment to support Radio for Peace Network to achieve development in South Sudan.
The two officials spoke during the opening of the training of Radio for Peace Network directors on Wednesday in Juba.
The training brought together station managers of twelve radios in South Sudan.
