Women Development Group is training thirty-four internally displaced persons or IDPs on the effects of gender-based violence and its prevention at St Mary’s Cathedral in Wau.
Field Officer Emmanuela Isdoro Dangi says the training would help participants fight gender-based violence, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
The trainees would also assist victims of the practice, she adds.
Ms Isdoro expects participants to be capable of preventing themselves and the coming generations from the bad practice.
She continues that the learners would also be taught about psychosocial support and first aid.
The one-week workshop is expected to end next Wednesday.
