Wau government has set up day and night patrols in residential areas to allow citizens return to their homes, announced State Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement.
Angelina Anthony Ubur says the patrol would include both government and United Nations forces to protect civilians and their properties, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
The minister says the government has also planned with the humanitarian organizations to distribute food to people in their homes.
She directed all chiefs to return home from IDPs camps and start registering returnees within residential areas to help people go back to their places.
The minister was speaking during the reception of new Mayor at Wau Municipality on Tuesday.
