Ten members from different Churches introduced peace initiative to mediate between the government and armed opposition in Wau State.
The initiative is to bring the warring parties together, Natalina Andrea, Coordinator of Peace and Justice Commission in Wau Catholic Diocese, read out the proposal of religious leaders during a meeting with Governor Andrea Mayar on Wednesday.
Radio Voice of Hope reports that Some of the points say the religious leaders are planning to meet chiefs and military officers separately and speed up rebuilding trust among communities and armies.
Bishop John Fabiano says they agreed with government to ease movement of the Initiative group outside the town.
He called for easy coordination with the armed group in the state while mediating the peace process.
