Imotong State parliament opens for second session

Imotong State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday opened its second session with leaders calling for efficiency and institutional reforms.
 
Nartisio Loluke Manir, State Governor told the lawmakers to work quickly on ministries’ policy statements, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
This time around will focus on allowing reform implementation to end corruption and boost service delivery, he says.
 
The governor appreciates communities for putting an end to communal fighting and cattle rustling which was the cause of many deaths in the state.
 
Ben Loki, Imotong State Assembly Speaker, tasks the lawmakers to help foster peace and join the Church’s peace initiative.
 
He tells legislators to be able to talk to the youth in the state to lay down arms.
 
The speaker says the armed youths should be able to accept the initiative so that roads are made safe for all.
