The Governor of Yei River State has ordered the joint operation forces in Yei to bring only dead bodies of robbers who might be found breaking into shops.
David Lokonga Moses says he instructed the organized forces to ensure continuous patrol and immediately kill people they found breaking into business premises at night, Radio Easter reports.
Governor’s comments came nearly a week after armed robbers looted shops in Yei town as gun shooting became the order of the night.
Lokonga says such people are ‘the enemies of the people’.
Governor Lokonga also warns officers at checkpoints to stop acts of taking items from citizens moving to and from the town.
He reminds citizens to immediately report such acts to the authorities for tough measures against perpetrators.
The governor says citizens should freely move from one place to another without restrictions.
On the recent slaughter and hacking of innocent civilians in Yei, Governor urges witnesses to report to the investigative committee for it to identify perpetrators.
The Governor was speaking to Christ the King English Congregation on Sunday.
